Dubai Walk-In Interview 2026: What to Bring & How to Check It Is Genuine

A walk-in interview lets you meet a recruiter in person instead of applying online first. Many Gulf job seekers search for a Dubai walk-in interview today to speed up hiring. A walk-in is only the first step: the job becomes real only when the employer completes the legal steps for your work permit. This guide shows how to prepare and how to check that the opportunity is genuine.

See current listings on Dubai jobs and Gulf jobs.

Before You Go

  • Confirm the date, time and full address in the listing, and note a contact person.
  • Search the company’s English and Arabic names in the UAE National Economic Register, which the UAE Government Portal recommends for checking that a company exists.
  • Be wary of any walk-in that asks for a fee to attend or to “reserve” a job. The UAE Government Portal states that the employer is responsible for recruitment expenses under the UAE Labour Law.

What to Carry

These are practical tips, not a legal list. Employers differ, so check the listing for specific requirements.

  • Several printed copies of your updated CV.
  • Passport and a copy of your visa or entry permit if you are already in the UAE.
  • Educational and experience certificates, and any licence needed for the role (the UAE Government Portal says teachers, for example, must hold a teaching licence).
  • Recent passport-size photographs.

Questions to Ask the Recruiter

  • Which company is the actual employer, and where is the work location?
  • What are the basic salary, allowances, accommodation, transport and medical insurance?
  • Will I receive a written offer, and will it be issued through MoHRE?
  • How long is the probation period, and what is the notice period?

After the Interview: What a Genuine Process Looks Like

  1. The UAE Government Portal says you must get an offer letter issued by MoHRE and signed by an authorised manager.
  2. You can verify the offer using its reference number through MoHRE’s application status enquiry.
  3. After you sign, the employer sends an electronic employment entry permit if you are outside the UAE.
  4. Permits issued in Dubai can be verified on the GDRFA website; permits from other emirates on ICP eChannels.

A visit or tourist visa does not give you the right to work, so do not start working before your work permit is in place. For rights once you are hired, read our guide to UAE labour law for job seekers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a walk-in interview the same as getting the job?

No. After the interview you still need a signed offer, a work permit and a residence visa process through the employer.

Should I pay to attend a walk-in interview?

No. The UAE Government Portal says the employer is responsible for recruitment expenses. Treat requests for payment as a warning sign.

Can I verify a walk-in company?

Yes. Search the company in the National Economic Register and ask for an offer that you can verify through MoHRE.
