Jobs in Singapore for Indians 2026: Employment Pass & S Pass Salaries

Many Indians search for jobs in Singapore and Singapore job vacancies for Indians. Your work pass depends largely on your salary offer, and Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) publishes the rules. All figures below come from MOM.

Employment Pass (EP)

MOM says the Employment Pass allows foreign professionals, managers, executives and technicians to work in Singapore. Candidates need to earn at least S$5,600 a month and meet the Complementarity Assessment Framework (COMPASS), a points-based assessment. MOM’s EP page lists the eligibility stages as the EP qualifying salary (Stage 1), COMPASS (Stage 2) and the Self-Assessment Tool.

Change coming: MOM announced that the EP minimum qualifying salary will increase from S$5,600 to S$6,000, applying to new applications from 1 January 2027 and renewals from 1 January 2028.

S Pass

MOM says S Pass applicants must have a job offer in Singapore and a fixed monthly salary. The minimum qualifying salary is S$3,300 for non-financial sectors at the youngest age band, rising with age to S$4,800 for ages 45 and above. For financial services, the range is S$3,800 to S$5,650. From 1 January 2027 for new applications (and 1 January 2028 for renewals), the non-financial range becomes S$3,600 to S$5,100 and the financial-services range S$4,000 to S$5,650.

MOM also provides a Self-Assessment Tool: a “not eligible” result means the application will be rejected, while an “eligible” result means about a 90% chance of approval, according to the MOM S Pass page. Pass holders earning a fixed monthly salary of at least S$6,000 can apply for a Dependant’s Pass for a spouse and children.

How to Use This Information

  • Compare the salary in your offer with the current minimum for the pass that fits your profile.
  • Run the MOM self-assessment before accepting an offer.
  • Declared qualifications must be authentic and awarded by an accredited institution.
  • Do not pay agents for a guaranteed pass. Check Indian recruiting agents on eMigrate; see genuine job consultancies.
